DIANA YANEZ - Writer, Performer

Miami-born, a filmmaker, director, artist, and stand-up comic, created the Off-Broadway hit Latina Christmas Special, an LA Times "Critic's Choice" since 2015. Her solo show Viva La Evolución won the Excellence for Solo Show award at the NY International Fringe Festival and is now being developed into a musical with Marjorie Duffield.

GEOFFREY RIVAS - Director

A founding member of the Latino Theater Company, Geoff Rivas directed Latina Christmas Special, which has become the longest-running and most successful show at LATC. His film credits include Under the Tuscan Sun, La Bamba, Born in East L.A., and Foto Novelas for PBS, for which he won an ALMA Award. Geoff is also known for his nine-year role as Detective Vega on CSI (CBS).

MARJORIE DUFFIELD - Director

A director, lyricist, and playwright, Marjorie wrote lyrics for the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated Over the Moon (Netflix). Writing credits include Ice Island: The Wait for Shackleton (produced off-Broadway), In a Lake of Fire (Winner, Moss Hart Award, Finalist, Richard Rodgers Awards), and Sit-In At the Five & Dime. She directed Diana Yanez’s award winning solo show Viva La Evolución.
